Travel Logistics

For those joining us from afar, here are some key details to help you plan your journey to Samarkand:

Airports:

  • Samarkand International Airport (SKD) is the primary airport serving the city and is the most convenient option for arriving directly in Samarkand. The airport is well-connected with several international destinations, including direct flights from major cities such as Istanbul, Moscow, and Dubai.

  • If you’re travelling from locations not serviced by direct flights to Samarkand, you may consider flying into Tashkent International Airport (TAS). From Tashkent, you can either take a short domestic flight (approximately 1 hour) or travel by the high-speed Afrosiyob train, which takes around 2 hours to reach Samarkand. We recommend booking your train tickets in advance, especially during peak travel seasons.

Accommodation:

  • We are in the process of securing special rates with several hotels in Samarkand to ensure our guests can stay together and fully enjoy the festivities. More information on these accommodations will be provided soon, along with booking instructions.

Visas :

  • Luckily, for most, travel into Uzbekistan will be either visa-free or e-visa. We suggest checking online, or with your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date information. For a quick overview, you can see Wiki’s Uzbekistan visa policy map. Or, just ask Malika.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance with your travel plans.
